Mike Cernovich stated earlier in the year “The Civil War started on Facebook. It started when people began hating those they knew in real life after finding out not everyone shares the same views on the issues of the day”
In my time studying I was completely apolitical. My mindset was that ‘Politics was for plebs who lack control over their own lives’ and mocked either side of the discussion.
To a degree that is true. You can live life completely ignorant to politics. In many cases better off too as then you will not step on anyone’s toes during your meek existence.
Most of the time yes I agree with South Park your vote is between a Giant Douche and a Turd Sandwich. In my country it’s between National or Labour.
In 2012 between Romney and Obama there was no choice they were both establishment corrupt goons. Why would you care?
In 2008 everyone cheered for Obama as the candidate of change. The chosen one. I remember watching the election in my social studies class at high school and cheering along too, as the first black president was elected. Then as soon as he was in he flipped the script on most of his popular policies, cracked down on whistle blowers, started wars, destabilised countries and doubled America’s debt. That day I was officially black pilled to politics.
Do I hate Obama? No. He seems like a nice guy. He speaks well and is up to date with meme culture. He has a sense of humour and like John Key I’m sure I would enjoy a round of golf with him in Hawaii.
But the facts are in. Financially he has been the worst president in the history of the States. He has done horrible things abroad. Domestically he stoked race relations when he was meant to heal them.
He has been bad for America but so was George Bush, the same with Bill Clinton, and so on and so forth… Do you see a pattern here?
So back to caring about Politics in general.
Why would anyone care? Just live your life. Caring about politics didn’t afford you any control or any additional freedom in your life.
Fast forward to present time.
The day of the election. The past 18 months have been a whirlwind of UFC-like hype and drama.
Side note: I think that it is straight up unfair how I cannot participate in the election of the POTUS but hey life is unfair. Being an ocean away and not being American has its positives however not having a say in the election of a leader that will impact the entire world is my one gripe with this situation.
While I follow many persona’s that advocate for tribalism and doing things for your team I have not been as hard-line as my mentors, I would not end a friendship with someone over differing political views.
That is petty and I’d like to think I’m more practical than that.
While I think that people who support Hillary are brain-damaged vegetables that are either incapable of rational thought or simply morally bankrupt. I’m still friends with many who will not support Trump. To unfriend people with differing opinions is to be as childish and pathetic as the SJW who cries when they find someone who disagrees with their narrative or entitlement.
Hate Trump all you like. I can understand why. I can’t defend everything that he has said and done. This is not a post to convert you. If you are not on the #TrumpTrain already I doubt you will see that light until it is too late.
Hate politics all you like. Hold it in contempt. I know I did.
I fully realise that my foreword has turned into an essay so let us begin with the actual post.
3 THINGS I LEARNT BEING A TRUMP SUPPORTER
- The Swamp Needs Draining #DrainTheSwamp
We’ve known it for a long time now. The US government has become too bloated. Too overbearing. Too corrupt. Hillary and her goons are the greatest example of this. The number of scandals behind her campaign are vast and the depth of her corruption seems to be infinite.
The establishment has failed the people and now the fight has been brought to them by the likes of Alternative Media, Wikileaks and Project Veritas you can see hard evidence of their lies, schemes, and hypocrisy.
- The Mainstream Media are Shills
The truth has been made public by Wikileaks among other alternative media moguls like Mike Cernovich, Vox Day and Stefan Molyneux.
There is no wonder as to why the Media has a 6% approval rating in the States.
Time and time again they have covered garbage slander and never focused on the real issues or the actual corruption they themselves are caught up in.
3. They May Take Our Meme’s But They’ll Never Take Our Freedom
“Where were you during the great meme war?” – William Wallace
How ridiculous is it that the ‘Lord of Kek’ Pepe himself was defamed and labelled an international label of hate…
You know you are winning the meme war when they assign a sad green frog picture to be as bad as a swastika.
All insults and attempts to defame us fall flat. The terms of racist, bigot or dare say deplorable have lost all meaning when they splurge out of someone’s mouth for the thousandth time.
As with all true memer’s we have ascended the labels of mere words.
I do want to end on a serious note. Granted the majority of my audience is not from America and has no say in this historic event. Hell ya’ll probably don’t give two shits about politics.
Regardless please heed these words.
To maintain a civilisation it requires vigilance and above all sacrifice.
It may require you to be passionate about something that is more grandiose than you’re mere mortal life. Your spec of existence in this universe.
A great lie that has been sold to my generation is that there is nothing that we need to defend. Nothing that we need to sacrifice. Nothing greater than us and our individual goals. That there is no precious inheritance that needs to be conserved, extended and built upon.
We have been told that all of the good that has been crafted with the blood and sweat of our forefathers will just lay untarnished without us polishing it.
We are a generation that feels free of the need to defend our freedoms. We have become lazy. Pathetic. Inarticulate in the defence of the liberties gifted to us.
Our ancestors fought and died with more vigour, more passion than we could ever hope to emulate. In ‘The West’ this fire has faded and we have become hedonistic narcissists who are blind to the darkness encroaching around us.
