“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
– Edmund Burke
TL;DR – No tl;dr, you came here to read it so read it. These are the facts don’t get emotional. Things need to be voiced. ‘Pepper thy Angus’ for some triggering. Strong language ahead. This is going to piss people off.
Welcome to my internal Dialogue.
The truth is I don’t want to write this. I don’t want to put myself out there in the line of fire. Who does?
Who realistically wants to be labelled a racist? That word holds such weight in today’s world yet is tossed around so nonchalantly as if it were a greeting. The truth is it should hold that weight. Racism is a horrible thing. We can all agree that racism has no place in modern society. It is disgusting and infuriating Side tangent – In fact just last night during my social 7 aside final my blood was boiling as an opposing player went on a racist rant about my friend and teammate, starting off with (most eloquently I might add) “I’ll fuck you up you brown piece of shit…” pretty ironic considering the guy was Indian and a few shades darker brown than my half Maori friend.
I would prefer to stay out of this, I mean down here in New Zealand we are out of it. So far removed from the world, relatively safe and isolated.
I mean this is an art and motivation blog what am I doing spewing my ideas about current affairs I’m no journalist (and frankly despise them and most forms of the media).
The truth is I wasn’t going to write this and post it until I saw Edmund’s quote above.
I was prepared to lay down and roll over like a bitch ‘Someone else can say this’ I am still thinking to myself.
This is not about slandering a section of a belief system. This is not about fear mongering. This is about stating facts and asking questions that need to be asked.
How many more people need to be slaughtered before the PC clamp down on Islamic extremists is abolished?
How many more innocent Europeans are going to be raped and murdered before something is done in Europe?
How many more Muslim countries are going to be invaded, bombed and economically destroyed?
How many more extremist groups are going to be empowered by major corporations and entities around the world?
These are tough questions but they are not going to be answered, these issues are not going to be solved by PC culture, by inaction, by being unable to talk about them and discuss dangerous ideas.
Putting a filter on your Facebook profile is not going to ‘raise awareness’, ‘support the country’ or ‘reduce the attacks’.
Making sympathetic hashtags on Twitter #PrayForBrussels is not going to reduce terror.
There is a serious problem in the world with radical Islam. There I said it bring on the Islamaphobia comments.
Yes Isis was created as a reaction and armed by the western super powers. Yes the middle east should’ve been left alone. Yes the American establishment is a corrupt ‘1984 like’ warmongering entity. Anyone can say that, but what now? Ignore the problem that we are facing? Don’t stand up to bigoted ideas and extremists for fear of being labelled a bigot yourself? It is a tough position.
Fact #1 – This is not an issue of race. Islam is a religion. A belief system like Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism or Buddhism. Just like any belief system there are fanatics. There are ‘extreme outliers’. Criticizing a religion or those who are apart of it is not racist.
Fact #2 – ‘The Wests’ foreign policy and intervention in the middle east over the past 20 years has been a disaster overall. It can be argued it was started with good intentions, however arming and training Libyan and Syrian rebel groups was not the smartest thing to do it turns out. Well hindsight is a bitch ain’t it? To Obama, Clinton and Bush supporters it’s a hard pill to swallow that your leaders have caused this hatred of the west. Especially to the ‘Oh so #Progressive’ Obama and Clinton governments. To that I say fair enough, I can completely understand hating the people and cultures who have bombed tens of thousands of your countrymen, maimed and killed your families and destroyed your way of life.
Fact #3 – In the last 30 days there have been 124 Islamic attacks in 22 countries (the majority of which are middle-eastern countries yet we hear next to nothing of that in the mainstream media) with a reported death toll of 1289 and a further 2008 injured. (Full list here) – Note how Brussels bombings were not even reported yet that adds a further 34 confirmed deaths and however many injured.
Fact #4 – Belgium discontinued their minimal efforts and aid in Syria 8 months ago. Belgium does not have a reputation for being a murderous invading empire. In fact they are a small peaceful country who recently (past 10 years) have become a very multicultural hub. On top of that they love their beer and chocolate…
Fact #5 – The Paris attacks escapee Salah Abdeslam was hiding in a segregate Muslim area of Brussels for 4 months. During his arrest the locals of Molenbeek rioted and fought the police and are quoted calling the terrorist ‘their hero’.
Fact #6 – There are ‘No go’ Muslim townships and villages all throughout Europe now. This is not diversity or multiculturalism. When in house Sharia law is being used to govern areas where the police, media and outsiders (native residents of the country) are attacked and forced out, questions need to be asked.
Fact #7 – The open boarders policy has failed. Crime has skyrocketed and that is undeniable. https://www.reddit.com/r/european/comments/47fyu6/my_list_of_crime_stats_and_all_rapessexual/
So I ask what excuse do you have for avoiding the truth? The west created this mess but who will clean it up. Unassisted assimilated Islam is not compatible with western ideals of equality and acceptance. How many times will violent attacks ‘shock the world’ (TBH it’s not shocking it is very obvious and logical as to why it is happening) before anything changes?
Islam needs a reformation.
By preventing anyone from having this argument by labeling them a racist or an Islamaphobe you are only hindering that needed change. You are allowing extremists to dominate that conversation. You are supporting the notion that mass, unrestrained, multiculturalism works – News flash it doesn’t. The events of the past year in Europe prove this. Colonge proves it doesn’t work. Paris proves it doesn’t work. Yesterdays attacks prove it doesn’t work. How many more attacks need to happen before we acknowledge that it doesn’t work.
What can be done to remedy this? – that is the million dollar question and hey I don’t have a definite answer, not one person does, but these issues need to be allowed to be discussed or else nothing will happen and the atrocities which have been taking place in Europe and around the world will continue whether you like it or not.
